Apple's latest i OS 8 beta iteration has revealed a new screen resolution for the rumored i Phone 6, Geeky-Gadgets reports.i OS is Apple's mobile operating system that runs on i Phone, i Pad, and i Pod touch.Historically, Apple releases a new i OS version once a year, the current version is i OS 10.It's not clear yet what caused this change — Apple may have grown tired of paying the Google license, or it may have simply wanted the i OS experience to be free of Google's apps out of the box. However, the end result may end up being better for consumers.Apple does not appear to be preparing to make the beta 6 update available to registered developers, according to BGR. Despite the lack of a sixth beta, the publication reports that its sources have informed them that a Gold Master (GM) release date is very close. GM is the final version of i OS updates made available before the public gets its hands on the new mobile OS. i OS 8 is compatible for download on the i Phone 5S, i Phone 5, i Phone 5C, i Phone 4S, i Pod touch fifth-gen, i Pad 2, i Pad Air, i Pad mini with Retina Display, i Pad mini, i Pad 4, and i Pad 3.
